Day 0: Airport Boredom and Blog Plans.

Recently I graduated college (resume in the credits) and for my grad present I was given a two week vacation to both Hawaii and Australia. I have a sister living in both places so I'll have a free tour guide as well as housing. I also have the youthful energy of a 21 year old, so I figure that I'll make the most out of this whole thing.

It's a little silly to say that now, in the airport, as I wait in anticipation 1 hour before my flight. I don't really have an agenda, nothing too exciting planned besides drink and become 2 shades darker. I definitely want to hike a lot, see the islands of Hawaii and the outback (is that even real?) of Australia. Hopefully by creating this blog I'll be motivating myself to take a bunch of pictures and write as much as possible. I have a lot of time on the plane, 11 hours I believe, so if I don't write a least a little bit I really will have wasted an opportunity. Luckily for me, my phone contains exactly zero fun games, my laptop is a tablet without movies or shows, and I forgot to bring any drugs on the plane to help me cope.

Yup, it seems that the only thing I have to occupy my time on this flight is a word processor. Once this first cup of coffee wears off I will fall asleep, presumably for a short time before the drink's secondary effect coerces me to the bathroom. I pray that the 15 minutes that follow will be the only pain I endure during this trip, but my past experience with anything related to balance leads me to have zero faith in my hypothetical surfing capabilities. At least a body full of bruises will give me an excuse to post nudes on this blog.

I have a whole list of writing projects that could use my attention. I will be writing a more free-write esque post after this on Thepoonatnoon.blogspot.com after this.

I have a screenplay that has been tragically ignored for months now. Maybe I could revisit it with fresh eyes.

I have a ton of random ideas for skits and videos that could use some consolidation. When I get back I want to hit the ground running, so this is a good opportunity to accomplish the writing portion of production.

I will probably be tweeting frequently at @soonplayer7

I will try to instagram every day @poon.slayer7

The last week or so I've been working hard to become a better writer and comedian, so a vacation almost seems like it will slow down my momentum. Another part of me thinks that I need to actually live a little to have something to write about. All I can do is push through and put the pen to the page as often as possible today. Once I arrive,  I can finally work towards becoming interesting. Or something.
